I can't stand the protagonist of this book. I can't put the book down but Rachel is so loathsome to me. I want to tie her down and lock her up somewhere so she can dry up.

Ugh! Rachel is a hot mess. She's the type of woman that as I'm reading it I'm saying, "She gives women a bad name." I tell her more things like, "Stop lying!" "Stop drinking!" "Get help!!!" Right now, I'm telling you that I don't like her but I'm finishing this book.

Already I'm invested and loving this story. It takes place in a small island in St. Thomas. Hoffman's use of magical realism is alive and well. I love her writing. Can't wait to read the rest.

So I really didn't like this series but apparently I'm a glutton for punishment. So far its okay. I'm not a fan of Kate but I like to see series through. Here goes.

I'm on vacation and I'm not a fan of Nicholas Sparks but every once in a while I enjoy one of his books. I'll let you know how this one goes. Don't judge me.

I don't usually update as I read but this is for my dear friend, Vanessa. It took me a minute to really get into the story because there are so many mini-stories from different point of view. It took me a minute to figure out who is who. In the 1950's in Elizabeth, New Jersey, not far from the Newark Airport, so far two crashes have taken place devastating a community. I'm getting lost in the writing. Good so far

Oh my goodness! I don't usually write updates but I just got to a part of the book that is a whole game changer!!!

I have my doubts about this book and I never say that.

I started reading some reviews and I noticed some that love the beginning and hate the end . I am looking forward to this book. The writing already has me in love.

I am so getting sucked into this series. I'm loving it. The first two I was ambivalent about. It think that this is the book that sucks me in completely. I just want to stay home, veg out and read. I have the next book waiting for me after this so I'm motivated. But isn't it supposed to be a trilogy?
