I tried. But in a book that's over 700 pages, 200 pages into it and shaking my head at such an implausible plot (really, get 200 pages in and tell someone about it and you'll realize it's a mistake to pick this one up). No, thanks. There are too many good books out there more deserving of a read.

What is the deal with Cronin talking about how short all the male characters are? So far I'm caring about the little girl a lot, but stop with the short guys already.

very promising! Really enjoyable so far. I am a painter myself and I find a lot to like about this book.

Charlie. Horace. nearly made me cry. Now I'm a fan of Klosterman.

going to bear with it to page 50, we'll see...a bit indulgent and over the top.

Gross. Interesting. The Road without the self-indulgent style and better plot

not sure i can continue on with this one! it reads like a screenplay turned into a novel...too wanna-be Dan Brown/Michael Crichton for me...
