I'm reading this on my iPad, a very very cheap ebook edition of the whole of Rosy Crucifixion, which is formatted very strangely... anyways.
Listen, I'm a Henry Miller girl. I have no idea what it is, but my favorite books always have the most deranged and gross and unhinged male characters. The fact that this is semi-autobiographical... oh man. So far I'm usually enraptured. Sometimes I get bored. It is what it is

I started reading this a couple years ago, and was snapping my fingers like "this is such a banger Aurelius is spitting facts!" but now I catch myself STILL thinking 10 pages later about the line "...in which pleasure predominates, indicates a more self indulgent and -womanish- disposition."

I'm not one to usually lose my cool on such sentences but... aiiii! It will not leave my brain. tsk tsk. Grain of salt.

I have a small brain so I'll have to read this again and take notes in order to fully understand it, but overall it's a book that's easy enough to follow. I'm extremely existential every time I pick it up and read a sentence but hey, that's why I wanted to read it, right?

I love Nabokov's writing style, but something about this book I'm finding it extremely difficult to follow. The sentences are long, there's name drop after name drop, and references to thing I don't know.
But I'm only 12 pages in, I'm patient.
