I find the politics the members of Combahee Collective espoused in the 70s to be prescient, while notably lacking a bit re: colorism especially. Notably when they essentially say white women living in colonized nations can count as women of color. And like, well no.

Listen I’m just trynna get to the end to find out why they said Captain Nemo is one of the greatest villains ever written. I had to look up Lewis Carroll as I was reading because the inner monologue and general behaviors of Alice were def giving nuerodivergent at the very least. Turns out several historians believe Carroll was autistic. That’s probably why this is such a silly, yet enticing read to me. Alice’s head is all over the place, my head’s all over the place. So needless to say, I’m having a great time.
