I am LOVING this book. Hazel is an absolute legend at making these people so fleshed out and relatable. Also…screw you Franklin…you suck…

Okay well…not loving the sudden shift here but there’s a lot of book left to go….

Entirely too readable. I’m going to finish it all in one go if I don’t force myself to stop.

Really enjoying this so far, I am not one for political or biographical anything, really, but Hazel is a master at making the dense seem light.

Starting a new read through with my youngest

It is taking a monumental amount of effort for me to not DNF this. This is VERY repetitive and VERY boring.

Mixed feelings. It’s sometimes fun and sometimes decidedly not. I understand humor, but having a special needs child myself, that first joke straight up pissed me off and I’ve been struggling to read it since. The premise is good and I am an obsessive Diablo fan so litRPG isn’t outside my wheelhouse. Idk. Having a hard time wanting to pick it up again when I put it down.

While doing my annual summer decluttering, I came to the horrifying realization of just how many books I have on these shelves I haven’t read. So, starting today all holds are suspended and I will be tackling this unread pile until I no longer have a literal tower of “meant to reads” stacked to my ceiling. I wish me luck on maintaining my resolve to not purchase a new book until then! 🤞

Man oh man the twist was very twisty. This is such an addictive and enjoyable ride. I’m torn between wanting to read it all in one go and wanting to wait a bit so it doesn’t end as fast.

I’ve fallen in love with this style of writing, the reveals are always so satisfying and the twists are never anything I’d expect.
