I hate Heathcliff. Before I read this book I saw someone say that Heathcliff digging Catherine’s grave and hugging her corpse was the eighth worst thing Heathcliff did. At first I was like “how could that be so”? Now I fully understand. Someone needs to compile a list of all of Heathcliff’s crimes against humanity.

This entire first half of the book book summed up is is: Catherine torturing herself because of Heathcliff and Heathcliff torturing everyone else because of Catherine.

Nelly knows all the tea and Lockwood is so hear for it

Everyone in Wurthering Heights hates each other and I’m so for it. Very fun read so far.

The amount of propaganda in this book is craaaaazy.

This book lacks any depth or critical thinking. None of the characters feel real and all of this book feels so fake and emotionless

This book is ridiculously horrible

This book is already so problematic in the portrayals of Muslims/ Syrians. This will make for a fun book-club read with my friends so we can trash all of the silly tropes.

Back to Villette. This is a pretty slow book so far but it’s kinda relaxing to read.

I finished part 1 and I am absolutely in love. This book is so good, I can’t believe I never read it before. It’s such a simple and lovely story, it makes you feel calm and peaceful.

The movies do not do this book any justice.
