The sarcasm and banter are fudging hilarious. I am enjoying this.

I've never been more mind-boggled. With only a few pages left, I dread what's coming next.

It's getting really frustrating. The characters make such poor decisions that I'm starting to root for the killer.

I was supposed to follow the suggested reading order, but that last book left me on a cliffhanger. I need to know. 😩

I'm 80% through the book and still can't figure out who's the real villain. It could be any one of them.

Oh, no. I'm reading from a cheater's POV. This is going to be tough.

Re-reading because I've already forgotten the plot and I'm planning to read the rest of the series.

Wow, I was wrong about my suspicions. That plot twist was the one I did not expect.

The snarky humour despite the seriousness of the situation is making this an enjoyable read. The FMC is my spirit animal.

I have an idea of how this will end and I am coming closer to it. I don't want to reach to that point yet, that's why I am taking my time reading this.

This series is good so far. Glad to have found out about this. I especially like the concept of mages with different magical abilities, their dynasties, and the role they play in the society. This has interesting set of characters and their dynamics, non-stop thrill with a touch of mystery, and some tropes that I adore. I am impressed with the storytelling and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Huh? Just because he wasn't there when it happened he thought he wasn't worthy and decided to walk away?!

This has got to be the slowest of slow burns I've read. More than a decade has passed and there's still no significant development.

I'm actually enjoying this, even if I hate the FMC's guts. It's the writing style that wants me to keep reading.

Wow, a cheater and a brat. Match made in hell. Never have I thought about reading a POV from a main character that infuriates me, but here we are.

The MCs are together. There's no apparent conflict or 3rd parties. A few finishing touches and this should be over. But no, we are still 80% in. So what's next? This is hinting towards a plot twist. It has to be. We'll see.

Yet another emotional read and I am digging it.

I really dislike real people (especially shirtless) on the covers, but I am invested in the story, and the characters are tolerable enough for me to keep going.

The writing is incredible that I feel what the characters feel. I feel their torture. It freaking hurts.

I am not sure what's going on, but it's intriguing so far.

This is giving me the heebie-jeebies. Imagine being trapped alone in an underground shaft and you never know what surprises await you in the darkness.

"After all, what other option did they have?"

Go back to safety, duh.

How frustrating

This is my 2nd book from this author. I thought this book wasn't a part of a series but I was surprised to find out there's a recurring character and a backstory. Fortunately, I read the other book first or there would have been a spoiler.

The bickering between MCs is hella entertaining 😅
