Cassandra is such a loser wow

I have not finished a single book this year… This year was weird for me, but not in a bad way. I think I broke free of the “overcompensating bc you’ve been depressed” thing and felt more comfortable going with the flow even if that meant not achieving certain goals. I’ve recently been in a headspace where I feel hopeful for the future with so many plans and dreams. Aiming for 4 books before 2026!

Fell off so bad but I’m back (and healed?) so I can continue where I left off. Queenie is honestly so mentally ill, this book is kinda comforting bc I can laugh and say “At least I was never THIS bad…”

I hate all the men she’s encountered by Guy is the absolute worse… I feel like I’m the one being degraded

The sexual health clinic scene was so…. 😭😭 At the very least I’m happy I was never THIS embarrassing at my lowest

I actually hate Achilles so bad 😭😭

Tbh I don’t personally relate with Dani’s issues but the way Talia Hibbert shows her thought processes makes me sympathize with her so much

I’m back to reading y’all I got my life together 😂

I’m tryna manage my time so I can finish this by Saturday 🫡 tryna do a book a week since I slacked the past 2 months. And yes… just read that (first?) sex scene before bed 🤣

I really struggled to get this far y’all. This book is not good. Just GUTTER BUTT

I’m soooo behind my original reading schedule (2 books). Put this off for so long after that disastrous chapter about lexi’s bday. I hate not finishing a book so I’m preserving. I was scared Tabitha was gonna be a bird and have sex with Marc again but I’m pleasantly surprised she blew up at him!

Ok… Tabby a lil pathetic. Girl how are you having sex with a man who acts like police brutality only affects men? But I hope she can find someone better. Also I do NOT like Laila at all. Something about her is so fake to me. Actually the way both Laila and Tabitha talk about Alexis is WEIRD. With friends like these…

Really liking Tabitha’s characterization. She feels so real and I honestly I relate to her type A personality.

Messed up my last update on “My sister the serial killer” by Oyinkan Braithwaite but this book really struck a chord with me. The commentary on pretty privilege was great but the ending really excellent conveyed the theme of sisterhood. Ayoola is so REAL and men are trash (not Muhtar)

It’s interesting how Korede’s interactions with men seem to be generally negative whether it’s failing to attract the attention of the man she likes or just another man being annoying. In general she seems to be stressed in her daily life. All while Ayoola does not seem to have a care in the world. “It is as though love is only for the beautiful.” I’m looking forward to the father being expanded on.

Already starting off with a bang. “The knife was for her protection. You never knew with men, they wanted what they wanted when they wanted it.” She’s REAL.

Stuff started going downhill after the HARASSMENT 😵‍💫 and I was not feeling that sex scene 😟

Haven’t gone through a book this fast in YEARS 🙈
