Oh my god!

Such a fascinating read so far!!

This is a tough read in the last half with all of the accounts of the historical tragedy that played out in Jeju. It’s the kind of gut-wrenching that only Han Kang gets to with her prose…

Gripping so far with its prose but I am hoping there’s a lot more twists to come!

So far this is reading so incredibly well. Depicts personal isolation so painfully and how one thing can interrupt a long-standing plan to peacefully tie up loose ends. Can’t wait to get further.

From what my friend has laid out for me, I think the romance aspect is fun but a bit laborious. Hope it speeds up soon!

I am…this got so intense.

Varrish really is a baddie with presence. Curious to see just how bad he can get. I also really liked that Violet finally opened up a tiny bit to Rhiannon—ITS ABOUT TIME!!

I hate Varris and his one-eyed grump dragon. I have a feeling this will only get worse as we go.

This is so gripping coming from the perspective of a kid because we haven’t really figured out what Other Mommy looks like or gotten descriptors that an adult would use and understand but Other Mommy is so terrifying and relentless.

So creepy. I feel uneasy on every page and I love it!!
