The plot of this is starting to feel a bit redundant and game of thronesy with names thrown here there and everywhere. To top it off we now have a 24 year old chasing after a 16 year old girl! Think I'm just gonna put it down, immediately no.

I like it but the story just feels like Cormac will reappear and be let go several more times and Stormcrow's revenge will get less and less interesting...

This feels a little like the last kingdom and lotr had an Irish baby xD

... I kind of CBA with this. Every time I read something I don't know if it's Safi or Iseult that is being spoken about because they're either genuinely that intertwined, or they're being mixed up. There's a lot of stuff hurled at you that I think needs more explanation... What's a thread sister/brother? (I'm guessing a heart-thread is a lover) Also over the Not Really But Basically Europe & Scandinavian settings.

Sorry, can't do it. Must not have done the first line test or even read the blurb when I bought it, because nothing appeals to me it just sounds like a spookier witchy version of a series of unfortunate events. (And I don't like that series either...)

Really enjoying this. It makes me giggle 😂 and also really like the way he writes lines, it's like a metaphor for waking up out of depression.

The reading slump wants me to give up so badly, but I have to do this. My brain will thank me 🤣

I still find the changing perspectives a bit wibbly wobbly, but I do enjoy this series.

I'm enjoying these, but definitely ready to go back to a novel after finishing. They did the job of getting me back after a reading slump. (Curse you Council of Elrond chapter of LoTR! Why are you so bloody difficult?! 😂)

Wow I've not kept up with updating this. Got a bit lost for a while on what this story was following, and the miscommunication/lost note trope is really crap, but I'm still interested.

The council of elrond is such a long chapter and I was too distracted. Debating returning it to the librararar.... I'll pick it back up at some point, but The Lost Bookshop is much easier on my wee brain ATM

Needed a break from the fellowship of the ring. I don't really know why I bought this, and it feels very unassuming at the moment, with the constant pov change every chapter slightly annoying my reading zen, but I don't want to ditch at the same time.

I'm liking this now that I've stuck with it, but I can't help feeling there's some holes in this regarding Wylan looking like Kuwei. I do love these characters and I'm nearing what I think might be the finale, I don't want it to end. Also want to know how long after the Shadow and Bone stories that this happens. (Will deffo try and read those, but I forgot that the tv show had bundled them together)
