The Song of Achilles feels like a tender, careful retelling of a myth. For me, though, it remained a beautiful form rather than an emotional experience…

I keep asking myself whether it’s normal that I still don’t know if I actually like this book….

Backman writes in a way that dives straight into my heart and wraps me up like a warm blanket.
Reading him feels like stepping into a quiet Scandinavian world filled with warmth, memories, and kindness.
Halfway through, and I already know this will be another five-star book … just like A Man Called Ove.

A truly warm and tender love story, perfect for cozy evenings, light laughter, and a touch of romance.

The last time I read it was probably 12 years ago, and back then I felt like I understood it: totalitarianism, control, Big Brother … clear ideas, a bit abstract. It was more of an intellectual read than an emotional one…
But now… wow. This is a completely different experience. The book no longer feels like dystopian fiction , it feels like a disturbingly familiar report!

Absolutely loving the author’s beautiful, flowing sentences!

Oh my God!! This book sinks straight into your heart from the very first page… and I feel it hits even deeper if you’ve been in a long-term relationship for years. Every word lands as if you yourself had written these lines and dialogues.
I’m completely in love ..

Honestly, it feels like a fairy tale for grown-ups. The world-building? Total mash-up. The author basically grabbed a little bit from every fantasy book ever written. And you know what? I’m here for it. The concept’s fun, it’s the kind of read that doesn’t make your brain hurt.
Oh, and the main heroine? Absolute queen. TOP tier!! 🦋🐺

Catherine and Heathcliff aren’t tragic soulmates; they’re two people starving for love who never learned how to love without breaking things! Brontë shows toxicity with such honesty that it almost hurts to read , you can literally watch anger, pride, and old pain burning everything around them. And as an adult, you can’t help thinking how important emotional maturity is before calling anything ‘destiny.’

This book is pure laughter and love so far… it brings such pleasant emotions, a light fantasy story for now… ❤️‍🔥

Finally friends to lovers, I just love this trope in books :)

This is just ridiculous..a millionth description of the main character, how amazing they are, what their body looks like, over and over. Every chapter is just “blah blah blah, she’s beautiful, I want her, blah blah blah, he’s sexy, I want him.” And it’s like this in every single chapter..almost 200 pages of the same thing, with nothing else…
Seriously…?

I can’t bear to turn this final page… because with it, an entire world I’ve lived in will vanish…. 💔

YES , it’s still hard for me to connect with Nesta and Cassian, because I’m forever and hopelessly in love with Feyre and Rhys. But this book has so many cool and intriguing fantasy moments that keep me excited and on edge. Still, I really wish we could see more of everyone else in this book : Azriel, Elain, Lucien… they barely get any time at all…

I’m about halfway through A Court of Silver Flames, and so far, I’m still struggling to connect with Nesta and Cassian. I know many readers find this book deeper than the previous ones, but at this point, it feels more like I’m reading Nesta’s private fantasies than a plot-driven story. I keep wondering if we’ll eventually get some political intrigue or meaningful events beyond just her inner turmoil.…
