Well, I really wanted Julie to go with their uncle and aunt but Alex didn't want her to go but it's understandable why he wouldn't. Life is hard for everyone and I think Julie is better off staying with Alex. Though I really want Alex to join the Marines he just can't leave Julie alone. It's so frustrating to read this

This was still going the same as book 1. When Jonny was also sent to play baseball on a farm but this time they sent Bri to a convent. The only difference is it's like were looking at Matt's point of view taking care of everyone as the eldest

I am actually expecting a lot from this second book. And so far it's still the same as the first book. I wonder when they will leave their places and search for another life somewhere. Alex so far has been very religious, not as much as Megan in book one but religious enough to know his priorities in life and I like that about him. He also takes very good care of his sisters. I admire that so much

The prologue. I didn't know what to think of it yet. But I think I'll have fun annotating this book. Three pages in and it seems like a nice read. I'm positive I'll learn something from this.

I had a lot of reading progress today and I'm proud of myself. Miranda has it bad now. I'm not happy. They were literally starving themselves just so they can save food. There were armed men going around stealing. People eating cats when horton went missing. Girls going missing. The states are now independent and on their own. Everything was messed up. I don't think things will get better. It'll be worse.

Nothing interesting really happening so far. Just Miranda falling inlove with Dan which I didn't really find exciting. And then Sammi gone, probably moved. And Megan still obsessed with God. Jonny, worried about his baseball career. Matt, helping around and been keeping everyone together. Miranda's mom, who has been doing house chores, and I keep wondywhere she gets money. I want something to happen, it's been normal

I bought the book and ended up reading until chapter 4. It's weird how school is still going despite countries disappearing from the map. And Miranda was way to calm during the shopping panic. Probably because she thinks they're all overreacting but nothing bad happened to them yet. Though there had been storms and no power most of the time. I wonder if this book is only about them coping or something bad will happen

Starting chapter 40 tomorrow! I updated StoryGraph but prefer Goodreads now. Rhys and Feyre’s secret note writing has me smiling—they’re so sweet. I’m starting to like Amren; she’s who I want to be. Mor, though, would make a fun friend since I struggle with conversations. I like Tarquin but want to see more of Varian, especially with Amren. And the mortal queens—how could they winnow? Are they secretly Fae?!

35% done with the kindle sample. I was so confused why the main character keeps yapping about random stuff and I just realized this was written in an epistolary format, the diary format where she talks about what happens in her day. Matt her older bro, Jonny her younger bro. Megan her churchy friend and Sammi her kind of bitchy friend. Dr. Elliot, her mom's boyfriend who has a moon fascination. Pretty fun read!

Too many characters were introduced in the first few pages and my brain was off to understand what was happening. And I'm confused with her relationship with those characters, like who's who. I don't even know her name. Miranda I think? That or Miranda's her mother. But I doubt it. It's boring for now. I don't know who Matt and Jonny are, probably her bros. and I can tell Brandon probably gonna be a big character.
