Oh my god, I hate her mom. And I’m only 100 pages in and still have a hot minute to go. I totally relate to her “lucky numbers” issue, but not to her mom having to physically wash and shower her kids herself (especially with her 16 year old brother??). I knew she was messed in the beginning, but it’s only getting so much worse

Today was a little harder than yesterday, just because 1.) I hate her mom and 2.) it reminds me of a lot of my own memories. Definitely not the same experience, but those little triggers are so interesting to me. But I hate her mom and I’m only at the beginning of the book… great

Really interesting so far, and not going to lie, a tad bit triggering in quite a few ways. But I’m excited (I don’t think that’s the right word here though) to continue reading more of her story

Feyre has now accomplished her first task, had help with her “housework” chores, make a deal with the devil (Rhys), and has been dancing at Amarantha’s parties every night with no memory, all for Tampon to not acknowledge her in any way. For some reason, I felt drawn to read again today despite weird things going on in my life, and it was healing instead of triggering like the lasg read for some reason.

I wonder why I was drawn to read this book again lately, especially being my first book back in a long time. I’m going through something I feel is similar to Feyre in a way, and it’s just wild to feel my own personal way of a connection to her “adventures”. I’m excited to finish it, but also I think I actually need to take a second to kinda process some surprising emotions on my end.

I only read a couple chapters today, and a lot happened. Rhys visited Tampon (I forgot about that) and learned about Amarantha for the first time. They also fully hooked up for the first time (ugh). And then Feyre got sent back to be with her family, and now she’s trying to figure out her emotions. It’s one of those crazy connections in that I feel I can relate to some things that are happening in my life…🙃

I just got through Calanmai, meeting Rhys for the first time, and the Summer Solstice celebration where Tamlin and Feyre kissed for the first time. Ugh. I wish I wasn’t so revolted by what I know is coming. However, again, the details are so fun to remember. Little things, such as what the characters look like, or events that are happening that I totally forgot about. I’m glad to be back to reading

Just got to Chapter 20. Even though I remember a good amount of what happens in this book (surprisingly to me), there are things that I know will happen later that make things… interesting now to say the least. For example Tamlin being who he is. At the time I liked it, and now I know what going to happen later on. I keep making faces like “ew” and “ugh”, and I can’t wait to get through this first book.

I think I fully realized today that I haven’t reread this first book since I originally read the entire series. I remember traces of hints of why was to come beginning in the first book, but it has been fun to add to those details in my mind. I just met the Suriel for the first time again, and I love knowing that the creature will be important for a ways after.

Took me a minute to get back into it, so hopefully I don’t take too long of pauses between reading. I’m having fun again, I love learning the little details I’ve forgotten about over the years. Things such as eye color, face shapes, and the gardens at the Spring Court.

It’s fun to reread a book that I remember enjoying before. It’s been so long that I’ve forgotten some small details such as the first descriptions of the characters. I finished 5 chapters today, going to try for 5 more tomorrow!
