UGHHHHH im so sad :( john steinbeck i love you and your land ruminations. the land IS life giving

it’s so refreshing to read bronze age writing whew

the turtle🥺

issue just started with a racism disclaimer LOL very excited to see what could possibly be more racist than the white egyptians in the last issue

ok just realized this only collects up to #53 but continuity wise pretty sure it should collect up to #59. please know i am doing more #ExtraWork

why did they put the fucking gas on for the polaris comics woah. writing got better, art got better, so crazy.

doesn’t collect the actual avengers issues u need to start this whole plot??? reading them now so please know that was #ExtraEffort

guy who finally splurged and got marvel unlimited

idk wtf is going on with goodreads but i fear i have not finished at all

book has been recovered

bit the bullet and just downloaded it on my phone fucking whatever

read a good chunk of this at applebees and i AM ashamed

as previously mentioned i lost my copy of left hand of darkness, am struggling through a chopped ass haircut, and have decided my only course of recovery is reading slop. unrelated but i have increased my rating of the og…

accidentally left my copy at the salon that botched my haircut and unsure if i’m willing to go back there for it😭

still actively reading but i just need to say that it is absolutely absurd that odysseus is about to kill all these suitors buck ass naked.

forgot to update progress oops. my goat odysseus funniest man alive. chris nolan could not capture his pure shithead energy

i wonder if i will ever get sick of “the deathless gods”. so far im fucking with it heavy. tbh i do prefer more flowery language with older translated works (thinking of NASV vs KJV (and obviously to an extent)), but i think there’s an admirable quality to the bluntness of wilson’s translation. can’t wait to read fagles and compare

girl who just discovered where the word mentor comes from

had to fight for my life just to get to the poem omfg. you can’t say emily wilson doesn’t know how to build up hype.
