The audiobook version with its British accent is music to my ears. This whole series is my comfort place❤️ I could reread these huge books again and again

Here we go again - back to rereading Strike and Robin’s stories while wait for the next book to come out

I already know this book won’t have a nice, peaceful ending. It’s going to be smth shocking, and it’ll be another book where I have to wait a year to find out what happens. Well… I’m doing this to myself.

A 30-year-old main character? I feel seen

I started the first book in 2022, and here I am almost three years later, ready to read the last one and finally finish the series. 😅

Decided to reread some of Strike and Robin previous books🖤

I can’t even explain how much Strike and Robin are my comfort characters. This book is 900 pages, and I wouldn’t mind if it lasted forever—I just want to keep reading about them.

So far I’ll just say two words: Vincent and Atrius🖤 *happily screaming internally*

Finally, after a 2 year break I’m ready again to read about Chaol😂 Good luck to me trying to remember the plot of the last five books.

Okay, now I’m finally hooked!

Half of the book done and it’s finally starting to get interesting (but just a bit)

DNF for now, maybe come back later. I just couldn’t get into this story. All the characters, dialogues and the story itself feel shallow.

just re-reading the classics

I read the first 4-5 chapters purely with sheer will and hope that it would get better. Thankfully, it is. Still waiting for this story to live by its name and show “the necessity of violence” towards colonialism not just visa versa.

I like everything about this book so far

First 25% of the book was definitely confusing with a slow introduction to the world building. But overall, not bad
