Ch 40. Halley is out at the beach when she hears a voice and looks over to see Reed. He tells her he’s moving here,

Ch 39. Reed hears a knock at the door when he opens it, he sees a photo of him that Halley had taken. There is a note beside it that says, I see it too Dad, Tara forgives him

Ch 38. Taras mom convinces her to look at the scrapbook Halley had given her two years ago

Ch 35. She gets an email from Reed, saying he’ll be coming down to go over some of the building blueprints. He comes earlier than he had said and before he leaves, he says screw it she’s here and he’s there and he asks her to dinner.

Ch 35. Haylee’s been gone for two years. She lives with Scotty who now has his own girlfriend. They run one of Reed’s training facilities in the south.

Ch 33. Halley tells Tara she needs her to understand that everything that happened between them was not forced, Tara still doesn’t believe her and brings up a girl named Susan from Charleston, and the teacher made her do things and she promised herself she would never let a friend be put in that situation. Halley says it’s not the same situation, and to think about it

Ch 32. Halley goes over to Reed’s apartment and he admits to loving her, but this is for the best. He tells her she needs to go to Charleston with Scotty and if she doesn’t, then he will, but he thinks she should. She tells him she’ll leave, but she wants one more time with him.

Ch 31. Reed gets a call from Taras mom telling him he needs to come over right now. When he gets there Tara is telling him how he discussed her. Halley tries to tell Tara how it was both of the decision and it wasn’t just his idea, and he wasn’t taking advantage of her while she was vulnerable. But he knows Tara will eventually forgive him, but she may not forgive Halley, so he says it was all his idea

Ch 30. Inside Halley follows her to her room where she sits on her bed. Tara then comes up to her and hugs her saying she’s been through so much. Tara tells her this isn’t her fault, that her father groomed her and he won’t get away with it😦

Ch 30. Tara is going over to Reeds apartment and invites Halley. When they get there, she’s pulls out the new picture. She hasn’t heard her dad in who to put it in the picture frame of the one he already has when she finds the picture of Halley laying in his bed. Confused, she runs back to the car in the drive home in silence.

Ch 29. Scotty had told Halley that Reed wanted to meet. So the next day she goes to the gym and he tells her he’s moving back to Charleston because it’s for the best.

Ch 28. Tara’s mom pulls him into the kitchen, asking him to do the dishes with her and questions him about what’s going on between the two of them. And before she goes back out, she tells him he needs to make the right decision.

Ch 28. They are at a family dinner and he calls her comet🫢😮 he plays it off as a nickname like he has squirt for Tara…Tara’s mother looks at him and keeps her gaze there. She catching on

Ch 24. They are celebrating Tara’s birthday at the beach. After a while, she says she’s going to go, and Reed offers to drive her home. They go to the store first, and on the way home, they do it in the car.

Ch 22. Reed takes her back to his apartment and they sleep together

Ch 22. They slow dance bc she didn’t get to, and the. While they’re driving home and car almost hits him. He grabs her into his arm, and then she goes back to her seat and they begin driving again. He takes her to his apartment

Ch 21. He picks her up and takes her to a lake. He’s silent as he closes his eyes and interlocks their hands. They make out in the car but he tells her it can’t go further than this

Ch 21. While there, Eric, the kid who won’t leave her alone bothers her, so she kicks him to the ground and then call Reed for a ride home.

Ch 21. They get in the limo to go to prom, which she’s looking forward to dancing, when they stop at another house in Taurus says this is where they’re going instead because there’s a house party. Halley he says she wants to go home instead, but Tara says they won’t stay for a little bit

Ch 21. It’s the night of the prom and they’re all getting ready to take pictures outside when she feels a hand on her waist, and it Reed who tells her how beautiful she looks.

Ch 20. Halley and Tara are listening to her parents argue when Reed makes a comment about how he’ll not let anything happen to his girls and then leaves😮

Ch 20. They’re at the roller rink and she sees Reed for the first time. They talk and he tells her it can never happen again. She doesn’t like that he’s treating her like childhood storms out. When she’s outside, she runs into her dad who is somehow bad at prison. Reed see that something is wrong and makes the connection that’s her father and starts punching him.

Ch 19. She hasn’t seen Reed for 2 months, he had told Scott to tell her they weren’t continuing their sparing session.

Ch 18. They’re on the ground and they pause realizing how close together they are. He admits that that night when they first met, they wouldn’t have made it into the bedroom so she reaches down and puts her finger in his mouth

Ch 18. She makes dinner for them. In the middle of the night Reed wakes up to music and when he goes out, he sees her working out. She said she can’t fall asleep so he asked her if she wants to train.

Ch 17. Halley is home alone while Tara and her mom are visiting relatives a few hours away. Theres a blizzard and she lets ladybug out but realizes there is a hole in the fence and can’t find the dog. She calls Reed and they spend hours looking for her but they can’t find her. When they go back to his house he dresses her into something warm, he gets a call from the animal hospital and he goes to pick ladybug up

Ch 16. March 1997, she’s training with Reed, and when she finishes, she sees Scott who tells her that didn’t just look like fighting, and he doesn’t want to step on anyone’s toes when going to dinner with her now.

Ch 15. She’s on a run on Christmas morning and fall. When she goes back to the house, Reed is sitting on the couch where he has slept at night. He follows her into the bathroom seeing she is hurt, and shut the door. Without realizing he goes up behind her end, touches her stomach and when she makes a noise, he stops and walks out.

Ch 13. Tara goes to a bonfire, and Mandy goes to bed, Halley goes out for a run and find herself outside of Reeds apartment, she goes upstairs and he invites her in and she asks him to train her. He says it’s not a good idea, but eventually gives in when she tells him her father broke her.

Ch 12. She is going out with a boy, and Reed goes out to meet his brother who is on town when he sees that the guys she’s with is giving her a hard time. He tells him to leave her alone and she runs off and he follows her and comforts her as she has a panic attack
