When I say that the only thing to do in English class is to read, I mean it.

I know it’s a love triangle, I know who she’s going to end up with, I picked out who I liked more in the beginning and now I’m mourning the lack of time we spent developing their relationship 😓 but I’m pretty sure I picked the right one so that’s a win for me

Wow who would have thought we needed a fourth repetition of the same analogy in regards to this man? Because I certainly didn’t think it was necessary

Either I’m slow or there are some continuity errors. We are told that she learned how to do archery without her powers and yet when she goes to the army they say she isn’t good at archery without her powers. She gets introduced to a group of people with her real name but then goes back to only one person to tell them to use a different name. Idk I just think these are contradictory

She has explained why she doesn’t want to marry this man three different times. One to herself, one to the man who saved her life and one to the guy she doesn’t want to marry. Other than that so far so good

It pmo that she keeps calling him the monster when he is generally known by his real name by everyone, she only learned about his nickname in passing from a little girl one time 🙄

Her grandmother figure and all her friends died and she has only spent like 1 page mourning. I feel as though she should be either a little traumatized from seeing her grandmas half burned body or at least feel more grief when she’s alone but idk 😒

I’m getting so much reading done in the hell that is my English class

Plot is interesting but why does she have to be falling for the guy already when we arnt even halfway through the book and they have known each other for 4 days max 😭😭😭

I FINALLY GOT IT AFTER 6 MONTHS AND ITS SO PRETTYYYYY

Damn younger me had some good taste in books considering I had no real way of getting recommendations

Sora had a past lover apparently but we don’t hear anything about them. Her lover got killed by her boss basically. But before that they had survived…so why is she worried about her kiss accidentally killing Ty when she has most likely kissed someone before and they were fine?? What in the irrelevant plot hole is this

I’m gonna bet the plan is going to go like this
-all goes well until the girl steals the crown
- instead of doing the plan she goes Rouge somehow
- betrayal to all of her found family peers and a big reveal
- her guard will have to keep protecting her even through the betrayal because that’s what he promised

I’m like 90% sure something like that will happen because it seems sooo obvious

And suddenly its a murder mystery with the killer being SO OBVIOUS OH MY GOD there is almost no subtlety in this book 😭😭

This would genuinely be a good book if the romance and flimsy excuse of sexual tension wasn’t steeped into every other sentence the author wrote. The plot would have been so cool if they actually put in the effort of focusing on their goals and not how everyone is vaguely attracted to everyone else

Listen the description says nothing about having any romance subplot (I think) so tell me why there is so much immediate pining/attraction/everyone has a love interest IN THE FIRST 100 PAGES!! If you are going to make everyone be a couple at least have some angst and some build up what is this insta love business? I signed up for a cool fantasy book with assassins and murder not whatever this is
