I am not convinced yet. I don't know if the writing style (or the translation) but I don't feel anything... at all.

I am really considering to dnf the book. It's so straining to read and I can't connect with Eleanor at all. But it seems like the actual in only beginning so maybe I should keep reading a little longer?

I have to say that I am currently mostly annoyed by Andie's behaviour towards Jack. Yes, we get it, he hurt you but seriously? That what you call "being professional"?

Mein erstes Buch von Jenn Bennett. Ich bin gespannt!

Ich weiß jetzt wieder, warum ich normalerweise keine Romanzen lese... oh, the Kitsch. And the sex. Muss das denn unbedingt?

Warum lag das Buch eigentlich so lange auf meinem SuB? Selbst in meiner momentanen, vermutlich wetterbedingten, Leseflaute fliege ich nur so durch die Seiten :D

Oh, I am enjoying this book so much! Not necessarily because of the story but because of all the little and not so little hints and mentions of "Buffy - The Vampire Slayer"! Which doesn't mean that the story is not good, it is! But it's the connection to my all-time favourite tv show that lets me love it so much more <3

This book is extremely different from what I normally read - I am totally fascinated. It's not the genre but the writing of Ms. Capetta. It's almost poetic how she creates sentences and imagery. Normally I am a simple kind of girl, reading mostly ordinary YA but this one really is special.

I am excited for the story to continue.

So richtig gepackt hat mich das Buch noch nicht. Irgendwie plätschert alles so vor sich hin und neben dem eigentlichen Plot (also der aus dem Klappentext) gibt es noch andere Handlungsstränge, wobei allerdings keiner davon so richtig Fahrt aufnimmt.

So langsam kommt ein bisschen Spannung auf. Ich kann zwar nicht behaupten, dass ich komplett gefesselt bin, aber ich mag die Richtung, in die sich die Geschichte entwickelt. Es ist ungefähr das, was ich mir erhofft habe :)

Ich bin mir noch nicht ganz sicher, wie ich "As old as time" finde, muss ich sagen. Auf der einen Seite ist es unterhaltsam, aber bisher ist es hauptsächlich eine Nacherzählung des Disney-Films - also weder besonders überraschend noch spannend. Allerdings kommen wir jetzt langsam in die Gefilde, wo das Buch von der Vorlage abweicht...

Also, irgendwie macht die Protagonistin noch nicht so richtig Sinn für mich. Sie trauert um jemanden, den sie gar nicht kennt? So sehr, dass sie seinen Selbstmord verhindern will? Und wundert sich dann, dass eben dieser jemand nicht freudestrahlend aufspringt, als sie sich an ihn ranmacht, obwohl sie nie wirklich Berührungspunkte hatten? Mädel, ey...
