Back at it again with Kasie West!

everything is breaking down except MY SHIP

no literally, the house is broken, ghouls and vampires and wolves running rampant in the town, and somehow the beloved town stray dog is a human??

Yeah, so I am a big fan of Zach already. He seems like a cutie pie

I have never seen Practical Magic, but now I have read two books that heavily reference the movie and I feel I am just due for a watch. Also, super minor detail but who the heck puts coffee in a pumpkin??

there is something rotten in the state of Denmark, and it's not all the fake zombies on the set of this movie.

Also, I appreciate that West's characters, for the most part, have loving relationships with their parents that are complex

I started this today, and read for a half hour on my lunch break... my ability to consume Kasie West books knows no bounds. I truly love how easy it is to slip into the worlds of her characters!

Kasie West's story was very satisfying and lovely!

Yeah, so I am devouring this, and it's officially a problem.... I don't want this to end, and I also want fall to come soon

Alright, I take it back, I can understand his broodiness now... dang it.

In other news, I think these characters do have excellent chemistry and I think I am sufficiently hooked

Lord, save me from guys who brood and never give an answer as to why they are brooding

The minute the love interest was introduced as looking like Spider-Man, I was immediately hooked on this character. I struggled to think of which one he could look like, but I digress

Currently loving the banter in this book! The back-and-forth is witty and sharp; it's so satisfying when both characters can dish it as well as they can take it.

Current favorite moment: the two leads were doing a group breathing exercise with their grandparents, naming things they could see, and Felix says, "Virginia." The cuteness will kill me (which is apt for a mystery!)
