We decided to go with a classic after finishing the Wingfeather Saga as a family read-aloud. Surprisingly kind of hilarious.

I read this a couple of years ago. Leeman's arguments played a not insignificant role in my very hard decision to leave the multi-site church I was employed at back in 2022. Grateful to be reading it for a second time, this time as an elder team, as my current church considers how to most wisely handle our increasing numbers on a Sunday morning. Here we go!

I think we’re rocking an average of about one unsubtle reference to the original trilogy per page. 🙌🏻

Winn Collier is a fantastic writer and Eugene is fascinating. My interest is probably peaked by the fact that I know almost nothing about Eugene Peterson.

Reading this for a counseling class I'm taking through CCEF.

Tolkien on translating Lord of the Rings into other languages: "As a general principle for [the Polish translator's] guidance, my preference is for as little translation or alteration of any names as possible. As she perceives, this is an English book and its Englishry should not be eradicated."

At this point, few things simultaneously infuriate and delight me like Brandon Sanderson.
