This wasn't quite what I expected. Struggling to pick it back up again now that I have other books through the library

In case you were wondering, all the very selective forces in the military are high on hard drugs - illegal and prescribed. Men "running" the world and starting wars are all idiots. I'm convinced there are like <50 people (see: rich white dudes) in the US calling all the shots, and they aren't necessarily people we know (money, money, money). So interesting but so damn demoralizing at the same time.....sigh.

Barely started and I'm FASCINATED.

Fiction has been hard to keep my attention recently, was wondering if a slump was incoming...but this nonfiction is scratching the itch big time 😅

This became much less interesting once they started "normal life" in the US

I chose this for the comedy, but this shit is way to close to current politics. Fml. Paused for the long term....
