This book reminds me why I don't read Dutch books: unnecessary erotical mentions...

I feel like M Swann sometimes... F Gilberte and Odette

I refuse to believe that love is suffering.

I don't like reading about Odette's pov

Swann is actually obsessive

Swann is the original simp and Odette is just over life i guess

So far I've realised a few things: there's the narrator (whose name idk or have forgotten) whose childhood was mostly at a place called Combray. And then we make the switch to M Swann who is now in love with a woman called Odette. I believe Swann's life is a foreshadowing of the narrator's life but I'm not sure. I hope there is a big plottwist though. Also this ia def a "how to talk and write without cursing" 101

Just bought three books for €13 IM SO PROUD THIS IS SUCH A STEAL and also I feel like such a cheapskate saying this but I absolutely LOVE sale!! And the fact that I bought a perfect new copy of Yellowface for €5 is beyond me hihi it was also the last one😏 Bought two other books because of the cover😜

Anyway, my goal is to read at least 10 pages a day to hopefully finish this book in around 50 days (slow reading is my thing)😇

I really don't understand why GR does some unnecessaryand absolutely USELESS update for DMs when they could've done WAY MORE THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN ASKED FOR:
1) half ratings
2) all other laptop-only functions also on phone
4) faster loading
5) ability to use emoji's and symbols in name without it showing weirdly (e.g. lxkan!!, like wtf is that???)

I'm scared of this book. The magnitude of it, especially....

Such a Common Life shortstory was quite a dissapointment. It was working up to something big but I didn't gasp or surprise at the ending...

I like how all the shortstories have something that connects them all. Even if it is a really small detail!!

Just got like really bad grades... First year in uni. Any words of hope🥲
