Audiobook version via Libby - note to self, the narrator reminds me of the voice actor for Winnie the Pooh.

Naaaahhh I take the cover art thing back. Only because I was thinking of a whole different book 🤣 guess that tells you all you need to know about this one. I’ll finish it because I paid for it but it’s not holding my interest. Lots of little things happening to everyone and everywhere except the storyline. Still got a way to go so I hope it’ll turn around but I’m not expecting to love this one.

Random thought … The cover art on this book is kinda misleading in the way of it having very little to do with bikes. This would have probably been great for the first book in this series. Then again, I’m only halfway through, there’s plenty of time left for it to fall into place.

Alright … let’s try this novella thing again.

Is this book supposed to be THIS hilarious? Because I have been witch cackling for days.

Hoooooy cow! I can’t put it down! (I have to because “responsibilities” but I sure don’t want to.) It’s an adorably frustrating love story. Just what my heart needed.

If you’ve read the first book, you know that ending lives is involved. So …… blood does NOT run out of someone without a beating heart ……

Not going to lie guys this one is slow. I’m having a hard time staying interested. I hate having to DNF but it may be a “Sunday Relaxation Read” if you feel me.

Jameson White, NP is the sole reason I am as deeply invested as I am. LOVE HIMMMMMM

This sort of reminds me of 1982 from a teenager’s coming-of-age perspective.

Barely into chapter 2 and I’m frustrated. One setting is New Orleans, Louisiana which had me excited considering I live in Southeast Louisiana. The book mentioned a basement in a bourbon street bar. FALSE. New Orleans is below sea level and not a single building has a basement. That is all 😂

If you loved Pretty Little Liars, you’ll love this. Classic high school dead girl who-done-it featuring ominous warnings, threatened secrets, and a dog named Barney.

It’s only slightly better than being scratched by a feral cat.

It’s a slow SLOW book. Not too fond of it, but I don’t dislike it enough to abandon it. I need to know how it ends but the only element of surprise here is my attention span.

First chapter has me hooked … this is going to be a fun one 😍

My toxic trait is that I cannot be trusted to go to the bookstore “just to look” 👀
