As I was reading this book, I was thinking to myself, “Wow, these characters and this scene sounds so familiar.”
Apparently I read a part of this novel during my senior year in AP lit. Knowing I’ve had experience with Jane Eyre is giving me some confidence to keep on reading, because believe me when I say I was ready to give up at page 1

I stopped reading this book in the beginning of my high school career. I didn’t understand the meaning, context, etc. I’m glad I’m able to pick up this book again and sympathize with the characters. I have a deeper appreciation for all of the personalities written in here.
