Arg not a romantic subplot! So unnecessary. This book is trying to be too many things

Halfway in and considering dnfing. This is so tedious. Is this supposed to be a horror? Where? Will it happen soon?

Interesting premise, but I am struggling to connect with any of the characters. Feels a little long winded TBH. Gonna keep trying here.

Yikes, considering DNFing. I don’t know how much more time I can spend with this meandering plot, “quirky” girl and bratty wunderkind. I love Nat though, maybe it will get better?

Digital literacy is important… ma’am you have now seen the incriminating video three different times and failed to take a screen recording of it. Just like “ope! He took it down again, there goes our evidence!” I don’t know if I should finish this book.

I feel like, if I saw video evidence of someone breaking into my house, I would contact the police. And if I thought there was something on my attic I would go up there and look at some point. Am I missing something? 🤔

Man I am on the struggle bus with this one. I don’t hate it, but the pacing is so slow. My general rule is to give it to 20% before deciding to DNF, and with a book this size that will be about 250 pages. We’ll see what happens!
