Thinking of reading more is bumming me out, and I don't think I can handle the narrator doing an Irish accent for Caribbean accents anymore. Time to let it go.

Here's the thing. I like his writing and his depth of detail so much. But he always goes like 2 steps too far into shock jock shit.

This is a fun and interesting idea. Unfortunately, the central conceit means it has to be somewhat boring.

I don't like the tree pain parts :(

This narrator is absolutely wrong for this book. It sounds like he should be giving instructions on the care of carrots, not anything meant, I'm assuming, to be heart wrenching.

I can't read a lot at once but this series is my kind of popcorn
