my brother and i had a copy of a scary story collection containing “the green ribbon” which we would read together all of the time as kids, and so i was very pleased to find that the first story in this collection “the husband stitch” was a retelling!! this story focuses on gender roles in relationships and the sense of entitlement of men over women’s bodies, and i loved it
