Cannot finish this book it’s just too boring.

I just cannot get into this book, the author has taken far too long to throw the reader a bone. 11% into the book and I still have no idea what the book is about, everything to this point appears to be setting.

This book is just horribly written. The dialogue is so completely annoying that I abandoned the book.

Unquestionably a superior writing style, beautifully crafted. The subject matter and setting are in academia which is not one of my favorite subjects. I did try a few times and, other than admiring the author’s significant command of the human language, I just could not develop enough enthusiasm to finish reading the book.

I just cannot get into this book, I give up.

Ugh. I have valiantly tried to stay with this book but it is written so poorly that I just cannot finish it. Hint to editor; it is not necessary or enjoyable for every single noun to have 2-4 adjectives. The writing style is so annoying I just want to gag. Not even curious about the ending, I am moving on.

Several different plots going on, requires a lot of attention but love the book.
