Oo that last paragraph was definitely hitting home. Keep us distracted with the politics and the meetings, vs. our salvation and Jesus!

My dad gifted this to me this past weekend. He read this over 40 years ago when he was in prison, and he said it is what led to him devoting his life to Jesus. It’s funny that my new pastor spoke on spiritual authority two weeks ago and I have been praying for more of it.. thank you Lord for trying to reach me!

Audiobook is good so far! Love a spooky Victorian home.

Okay it’s good. It’s taken a long ass time to get here, but it’s good.

Somehow we switched POV’s into a new characters life and I don’t know who the person is that we are following..so yeah that’s that.

Starting this series again and am so pumped to finally.. hopefully finish it this time! It was a favorite of mine back in college so I’m hoping it stands up to my older self’s expectations.

So far so good. Just like any Law & Order episode I’ve ever watched.

Also adding that I thought to myself that I hadn’t read great writing like this since reading Russian Literature like Anna Karenina (which everyone needs to read)… and lo and behold I see this author is Russian.

The audiobook on Spotify is really well voice acted. The prose in this book is amazing. It’s been a while since I’ve read anything similar. However the author uses metaphor after metaphor in the same paragraph to the point where I’m confused about what even happened in the actual event he was describing to begin with.

The absolute ick I have for Bella’s actions with Heath. Heath has excuses, but she doesn’t. Bestfriend my ass!

God Catalina is insufferable!!!! All she cares about is herself.

Catarina is becoming insufferable, I feel so bad for Heath.

What in the Jenny Humphrey is going on

Not quick to catch my attention but I’m committed to see where this goes.

Here we go again. The historical time period. The political intrigue. The slow burn enemies to lovers. Everything about this m/m series is a must read. Beware of triggers - but if you’re down with that kind of stuff just sit back and enjoy this masterpiece!

So far it’s been a depressing ride for the main character. I understand her actions.

Calling it now the prince is actually the guardian and since he’s the one who said the vows their married. Also because we don’t know if the prince even really cut his hand.

Don’t like how the guardian is just brooding around her and bantering. Like it’s too soon and obvious. Ugh.

Probably my favorite installment in the series so far.. so many more characters begin intertwining into the plot.

Still going strong. Kristin isn’t my favorite author, but man she has a talent for writing that can’t be ignored. For some reason I just don’t feel that heartstring pull with her characters as I’ve felt with other stories.
