This book has a major league baseball team in Portland, I’m already enthralled

The fact that Fenway Park exists but the Seattle Mariners do not, makes me think some sort of cataclysmic event happened between 1912 and 1977 (or 1970, if the Saints are actually the Pilots). Perhaps JFK survived in this universe. Maybe that explains why Dallas’ stadium didn’t have a roof.

(I know, I know, maybe they left the roof open, but it seems like a bad idea considering the gameday temps)

Irrationally angry at all the teams being renamed despite referring to the IRL *league* names. But the baseball has been fairly sound so far. A good introductory outing by Kai, going eight innings with only one earned run. Dying to know if he has a no-hitter in his career. Are the Warriors an NL team? What are his offensive stats? Will there be a WHIP double entendre?
