The introduction was a breath of fresh air. I think Peterson is going to fill in some of the gaps that I found in John Mark Comer’s ‘Practicing The Way’. I love the framework of the Christian life more like a pilgrimage than an apprenticeship. As we reflect on different psalms, I’m interested to see how he uses scripture as the main focus for his thoughts about enduring the pilgrimage in the world we live in.

Every time Evelyn shares something, it’s like a bombshell! Sexuality, body image and female voice are prevalent themes I suspect to shadow the course of the book. Especially since we’re introduced to Evelyn through public opinion on her appearance and that is the lens which she views herself when she was 13. There is lots to be said about the psychological development of teenage girls. Love it so far !!

I hate reading books that everyone and their mum has been raving about because I’m very critical and I find flaws in everything. So if it isn’t as good as the hype then I immediately second guess myself and feel like an outcast for not being in on the joke. However I started this book yesterday night and the introduction and set up has been amazing. We have a layers narrator and Evelyn seems very dynamic
