finished chapter 3. this is a superficial observation but having to listen to a group of english people talk about their philosophies and opinions on americans is my personal hell and i just had to live through it

i actually already listen to stephanie soo's retelling of this story, and i really liked the plot. tho big part of it is that stephanie is really entertaining. but i'm liking the book and i'm only a little bit upset that i already know the ending

i'm really liking it. amazing theme, it's the kind of book that makes you reflect on your life and the lives of the people surrounding you that sometimes you take for granted. but it's not annoying about it, it doesn't spell things out for you necessarily. it doesn't feel like it's trying to be deep, it is what it is. fingers crossed for a good ending

i don't really like it. the writing is good and it's an interesting theme, but i just don't like it. the story moves slowly and i have no idea where any of this is going. i might finish it only cuz im halfway through already but i don't think i'm giving it a good rating.

interesting to read how a very conservative culture warps her perspective. how her sexual desires make her feel like it could affect her motherhood. like they could be punishable by law, like they could take her daughter's custody just because she has had sexual dreams.

i'm not sure why this had to be a different book, i'm getting the feeling that this very well could fit into one novel. but at the same time it's fitting, because collen hoover feels like the taylor swift of writers and never never part two feels like the release of the same album again just to get more streams and money

i read this one a long time ago and it was okay. a light read. i really liked the cover (lmao?). now I'm listening to the audiobook because i wanna get through the whole series. so far one thing to comment: charlie is such a pick me. oh my god. she's like "i used to take selfies??? omg thats so gross" babes get over yourself it's fine.

the writing is not compelling. this is so far removed from my reality it's very hard to understand, it's not the actual-youth-experience they sell you in the description of the book. at least not for me. it feels very american. aside from it, the writing isn't special or good enough to make me crave more and more. it's simple, boring.
