Was I supposed to read book one first? Because this is yikes. We went from zero to wtf within three pages. It should have taken longer to get here unless that’s a lot more backstory from book one.

Nope. Not finishing this one.

Been listening to the Graphic Audio version at work between contract deluges. The production is really good, but the story is mostly “meh”.

This somehow became my “waiting at the doctor’s office” book. And since I haven’t had to go to the clinic, it’s kinda on hold for now.

Ever hit a point where you’re creeping up on 2/3 through a book and things are going TOO well so you put it aside in a sad attempt to pretend everyone and everything will continue to be well? That’s where I’m at with this. He deserves so much more than he’s had in his past and I don’t want to read about him being hurt again.

We’re hurtling straight to the brick wall that is a third act breakup and I’m sat here hoping it doesn’t come to that. This is a romance though, so we all know there’s a 99.999% likelihood I’m going to be disappointed.

It’s so strange coming back to a book you’ve read and pick up on all the clues and red flags. Gives it an entirely new dimension. Well, it does for me.

1) Yes it is taking me a long time to read this, mainly due to having to put it down to pterodactyl screech every couple pages.
2) I work at an oncology research company and the emails from Benton are super on point, especially signing off with only initials.

I know I use this word a lot. I do. I have a handful in my go-to language handbag (most of which are considered bad in “polite” company). But there isn’t another word off the top of my head that fits. So here it is. I am DELIGHTED by this so far.

Word is this started life as Reylo fic but since I bleached all details of those films from my brain as soon as I watched them, and because I’m now a sheep for booktok recommendations, I’m reading it anyway.
