Pains me to DNF this one, maybe I’ll come back to it but for now, have to put Chase’s book aside. I really really wanted a redemption arc for him but just can’t connect to the characters in this one.

I couldn’t get past the maggot scene on the first 2 pages 🤮

DNF’d at 55%. I really wanted to like this and thought it had so much potential. But I just couldn’t get past how everyone, especially the MMC constantly told the FMC how boring she was and how her life was “boring”. There’s a way to go about helping someone be spontaneous and go with the flow- putting someone down a bunch isn’t it.
