Apparently this has been on my to-read list since 2015 so it only took me eleven years (so far it’s absolutely fantastic and exactly my cup of tea)

As I’m stewing in my anxiety on Mary’s behalf over whether or not such-and-such will come to pass, it’s occurred to me that this must be exactly what it must have been like to read P&P without already knowing the ending, before Lizzie’s ending up with Mr. Darcy became too widely-circulated to avoid prior to reading

I think my brain is too smooth for all the lore and names to stick but the part of me that understands about 45% of what’s going on is deeply impressed by the world building

I…kinda loathe it so far 😅😅😅

really quite a somber book, despite its being about dragons, but consistently intriguing nonetheless
