Word repetition is a great way to kill a book for me. I've seen primal so many times that I wonder if I'm reading an omegaverse book over a vampire book 😂

I've seen the word primal used in back to back chapters like 5 times. If I see it again, I'm gonna think I'm reading an omegaverse rather than dark vampire romance 😭

I have formed too many opinions about Hannah's husband, Ethan.
He's like: "I promise you that I'll talk to my mom about this," as she is clearly a narc and we know narcs have no boundaries.
Ethan clearly does not talk to his mom. I am really feeling for Hannah right now. It has been obv as why they eloped in the beginning lol.
Margaret feels like she's strangling me.
Daya Winters is doing a great job.

This book is really creeping me out and I goosebumps 😳 MILs are literally smothering.

Just a few inconsistencies that I've encountered: MMCs eyes are consistently blue and are mentioned as brown once at the gala. The couple also have dinner on their couch (also why don't characters in any books finish eating) and is later mentioned there's no couch 🫠 Why does my brain pick up on these things?

These characters don't know when to stop talking and spill things they shouldn't to others that arent to each other (the MCs). I sense a miscommunication trope and/or emotionally constipated one 🙄🙄🙄

I'm enjoying the concept (FMC is a therapist + serial killer) but I already placing bets the MMC will bone her before page 100 because my expectations of dark romance has drastically dwindled.

Also why do MMCs gotta nickname the FMC, "little _____?" It feels infantalizing.

Excuse me. This ARC is really doing things to my brain that I needed to get out of this reading slump 🫠😈

This MM book is literally everything that I've needed in a book lately that MF books are lacking (like a plot).

Plus, Trine (MMCs mom) is healing my deep mother wound that I have by being the most supportive parent a person should have.

I need a damn palette cleanser and going to psych thriller sounds like a good idea.

This MMC is supposedly inspired by a certain grumpy, hot-headed, stubborn older brother from a tv series involving a “family business.” I did not walk—I ran to read this after finishing the author’s Grave Matter ✨️And him as a cowboy? Yes. It absolutely works in this book (in my brain it's just an AU) 😌🤠😂
