This is so dark, and I am so so nervous for the main character and whether she is going to be murdered by her controlling toxic ex boyfriend… and whether she is actually enjoying and consenting because it felt like she was, until she was not. 😳 OMG has anyone else read this?!!!!!!

I’m on the edge of my seat!! 💺 cannot wait to see how this ends. Total anti heroes book 📕

The side character drama is a little much 🙈 I’m starting to think with this many near misses by the hiking guides, they’d all be fired and the company would go under if they made poor decisions in the wilderness / rapelling, hiking close to cliffs and almost getting people killed omg 😳

Moving along quickly… trying to see if I can finish this one before publication now. Interesting that there is quite a bit of side character plot development not just only focused on the two main characters.

This is super cute, enjoying the dual audio narration. It’s a classic storyline of: girly-girl decides to go on a 2 week adventure backpacking “vacation” to prove she can, falls for the hunky, rugged outdoors-guide. Opposites attract..

I loved the authors prior book (the women on platform 2), so giving this one a go. I enjoy her descriptions and plot but I’m wondering when we are going to get to the midwife part..!

Very much enjoying the concept of instancing, this is a multiverse book where the copies exist in the same timeline..!

I think the synopsis got this wrong, it made it too tame for the seductive writing and the dark fairytale within the fairytale. I dont even know how to describe this book... I cant decide if it's a fantasy or a messed up family fic

I just finished Part 1. And it is diabolical and atmospheric and everything one could want from a summer serial killer mystery.

Where is this going? Much less romance than I thought and much more thriller/creepy

At time humorous, then turning to serious topics, there is a depth of storytelling here and this book has my full attention. Representation: Vietnamese immigrants, first generation and second, mental health, PTSD, racism

I thought I was guessing all the twists pretty well until chapter 43 hit me upside the head 🤯

A somber character study. It feels very real and very depressing as it is covering Alzeimers disease and collapse of marriage. Appreciating the look into systemic racism, privilege of some and not others. Good writing but not a “fun time”.

So far it’s easy reading, feels very familiar in the tropes… demon hunter living in plain sight with non-magical family, gets invite to a school for hunters, falls for the instructor who is actually a demon turned “good guy”… trying to figure out who killed her father and why he never told her anything about this school he attended. A little vanilla

It’s binge worthy for sure! Veronica Roth is back!

Unhinged satirical comedic action is what I needed

Took a bit to get into the world building but at 20% in I can say this is definitely going to be a comfort read for me. Scifi fantasy with romance subplot 🌌 earth is ravaged and there are some bioluminescent plants 🌱 of alien origin… a prophecy and a chosen one. Can’t wait to see where this goes…

First 3 chapters are setting this up to be a top read for me..! Eeeek
