Some reading before bed whilst watching the livestream of the Artemis II mission after they regained connection with Mission Control.

My bookmark was originally on p273 but it was in the middle of a scene so I went back to the start of the chapter (p270) and read on from there. Didn't realise I read 7 pages, I thought it was less than that. I stopped reading because I was starting to feel sleepy. I slept at 2:44am.

Completed the first two chapters. They cut the contents of these first two chapters down in the film, which makes sense although when I saw the film I was surprised that Grace was able to move around so much immediately after coming out of his coma. The way he kept going back to being unconscious a few times in the book makes more sense. It’s nice to be able to read these extra details.

Got home yesterday. Having a mental breakdown. Decided to go back to my roots and do a soc reread since reading ninth house would be too painful right now given the circumstances.

Getting more into it now than initially. The engagement between Sirius and narcissa is weird though.

Already hooked. What’s up with the MC’s name though.

Just realised it’s been nearly 2 years since I fully reread this book, since there’s a Gilmore Girls mention about halfway through that I did not pick up on, seeing as I only watched Gilmore Girls in Year 1.

Sherlock Holmes on drugs???

Nearly cried at Matthew realising that he does actually like his life. Was slightly disappointed not to get a reunion scene with James and Cordelia meeting him as he disembarks from the ship in Constantinople. But overall love the story!

I’m now one chapter into the Sherlock Homes story and it’s quite intriguing so far. This is my first dose of Sherlock Holmes (apart from a few minutes of the film on BBC).

Was pleasantly surprised at the mention of James and Cordelia, I miss the TLH gang so much! (Also love how James is now fluent in Persian)

TWP is starting to feel real now…

I’d completely forgotten about the Kitty hug on p352.
