This is great! I am enjoying the part about cities a lot. Probably the most relevant and important part of this book.

Total disappointment. Circe by Madeleine Miller is so much better by comparison. This was just boring, and it isn't at all feminist. Although it's told from the perspective of a woman, basically every page describes men's actions and feelings. Thus, it's not Briseis telling "a very different story", as the back of the book says, but it's the same story, told in a tedious way. Didn't finish.

Only six chapters in and I'm already loving it. The prose is amazing.

Read the first part now. Sancho Panza is a thoroughly wonderful character who is not only funny but also serves as a bridge between madness and reality. There are a few novels that might be called "classics of classics". Don Quixote of La Mancha is one of them. It's long, of course, but it's surprisingly accessible to modern readers.

This is so difficult. Each page takes time. Not because it's boring or ill written, but because there are many good ideas and points made by both A and B. Since Kierkegaard writes the book like a dialogue (first the text by A which is then answered by B), it's of course very valuable to take notes. However, it takes time.
