Just finished chapter 7, which I will be hereafter referring as THE chapter.

And now I need to take a big breath.

Started a slow re-reading because “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” brought a feeling of nostalgia for Westeros.
I’m in the middle of other stuff and series, so this is a slow side quest.

It’s a bit complicated to review this book. The story is known, so as you go in knowing what happens the interest in reading it is the how the story is told. And in this case, I could feel the age of the translation (it’s a 1931 translation).
Loved the structure, though, and was surprised with how much of the action actually takes place in Ithaca vs the actual travel of Odysseus.

I am finding this book extremely enjoyable. It feels like going from a high-fantasy tone to some kind of d of sci-fi/urban fantasy vibe, and I find that a fascinating exercise.

Nine days read, one to go. And I have no idea how it is going to go.

'Neverwhere' is quickly becoming my safety blanket, the book I like to re-read (even if it's only a few pages) whenever I'm feeling a bit down. Like this last few weeks.

Me está ENCANTANDO cada página de este libro. Diréis que con Sanderson no soy objetiva, pero este es probablemente su libro más completo. Imprescindible para los amantes de la fantasía.

Puesa lo tonto a lo tonto, llevo ya unas 100 páginas leídas… y me está gustando, a pesar de no saber aún muy bien de qué va a ir la cosa.

Todas las novelas tendrían que empezar así, tan de golpe que no queda si no seguir leyendo.

Lo abandono. Me atrae muchísimo la época que retraza, y me ha dado ganas de profundizar más en ella, pero el estilo me puede. Así que le pondré dos estrellicas. Porque se ve que está documentado y que la autora (que no es ni escritora profesional ni historiadora, así que chapeau!) se ha tomado en serio el enorme trabajo que hay detrás del libro.

Voy a la biblioteca con la esperanza de encontrar 'American Gods' o 'La Torre Oscura'. Deseadme suerte.

Currently re-reading it. It has been a long time since I read this boks and I really wanted to go back to Hogwarts!

Se me había olvidado lo terribles que son los párrafos de genealogías de este libro.

Acabo de empezar esta novela histórica (lo estoy leyendo en francés, llevo varias lecturas en inglés y quería cambiar un poco) y me ha enganchado desde el principio.

Ayerempecé a releer "El Silmarillion". Necesitaba perderme de nuevo en la Tierra Media, y sólo con leer los dos prólogos de introducción y la carta de Tolkien que precede al relato me bastó para estar allí de nuevo. Aire fresco. Recuerdos.

Dos cosinas: acabo de descubrir una tienda Waterstones (librería en INGLÉS) en Bruselas, atadme las manos y robadme el dinero, o será mi perdición :P
