Him and his friends are at lunch and they were talking about the practice last night.

He was at batting practice had a few nice hits and then when he got home he brushed his teeth took a shower then went to bed. Then he woke up and went to school to go talk to his baseball frieds about last nights practice.

Jack's friend Jackson hits a home run and it is now Jack's time to bat. It's practice so there doing batting practice. Jack steps in the box and gets ready to hit and his coach lobs one in and that's where I left off.

"I'll be worth it in the end." The preposition in tells me when he will be worth it.

I make a connection because the guy in the story is a little shy. He does really good in the game and he doesn't like being in the spotlight. I relate to him a lot because I do the same thing.

In the story it says "I want to get to the NBA one day." In that sentence his mood is he is setting a goal for himself and trying to make it happen.

In the start of the story it talks about the characters in the story.

He finds out who the legend of the park is and he gets him his college degree and on graduation day he never shows up but Drew knows that he did it for him.

I can make a text to self connection to this book because Drew the main character is playing basketball and working hard and practices everyday. Just like him I work hard everyday playing baseball I always practice and work on my game. He does the same by going to the park and practices everyday.

He was mad his team lost because he missed the last shot to win the game. He had a conversation with Donald about how he should have passed the ball to the open guy.
