Okay, we made a jump in the timeline of the book series.

I am pretty sure that during the last pack meeting in the previous book they „git outed“ as fated mates…

So, I am slightly hesitant to read this book.

Starting again

I am gonna have to pause reading this book.
A book I preordered on Audible just became available and I’ve only listened to five minutes of this book.

Tf? Have you ever watched soccer in germany? Or other sports fans? Most of them yell at tv screens. Maybe not horse riding or golf… but a lot of the bigger sports.

I moved the deaf chef ahead because it’s the prequel of a series I want to read.

All in all a nice novella ~ 3,5 stars
The jump from the last chapter to the epilogue felt sudden and there were one or two little slip ups in the story. Nice, but forgettable.

Just finished Hot Dish (1/17 short stories)
It’s really short and therefore hard to judge. For me it might just be 2 stars since I didn’t really connect with it. I had to start so often just to finished the first two chapters and that’s not a good sign…
It wasn’t particularly bad or anything - just not my style.

Audible says I’ve already read this one.
We’ll see if I remember it.

I‘d like a book about Mads with his queer awakening and subsequent dating life.

Beside the couple being out in public, we have the happy ending right in front of us.
Why does the audio book still have 2 hours and 16 minutes left? 👀

Scene with a text from Yorkie and a foto of Kitty in a bar with women which prompted the following thoughts.
I really want Kitty’s love story; maybe (🤣 ok, definitely) a sexual awakening. The character grew on me after apologizing in the first book.
Would that story be close to Heated Rivalry and others? Yes! But I still want it. Also, the nickname Kitty for an ice hockey player? Adorable 🥰

Look, I don’t neat fancy titles for chapters but if it’s a multiple pov kind of book/novella please add the characters name to the chapter title; e.g. „chapter 1: Alex“ or above a paragraph after a pov change.
Especially with novellas it can be hard to guess the character in the beginning.

I stand by my first update.
The book is well written. Great setting, amazong characters and development, good pacing…
But the age difference at 19/20 leaves a really bitter aftertaste.

Look, the book is well written and the characters are nice…
BUT a romance between a 19 year old and someone 40plus just rubs me the wrong way.

I am a fan of Dally, and slightly frightened of him.
Maybe, kinda relieved he isn’t real.
Also, I liked the mention of the Omegaverse…

Dally… is a character.

This book is gonna be life lessons with Dally; for example:
“I can be nice and make sure I get what I want.” Dally’s head bobbed as he fucked with me in a singsong voice. “Just because you can’t doesn’t make it my problem.”😂

„Two years they’d been friends, ever since Brenden had begun working in Jay’s office, but there were still some things Brenden didn’t need to know. He claimed not to ‘get the whole gay thing’, so Jay was always careful not to shove his sexuality down Brenden’s throat.“

—> Brenden seems like a good friend to have as a queer person. 👍🙄

I going into this with the knowledge that the german/german accent will bei disappointing.
Hopefully the story and characters will make up for it…

Well this series was disappointing for me. I just didn’t click with it.
Now I’m happy that it is included in the monthly audible payment (until 22.07.2025 in Germany).

In the first half they mentioned bisexuality.
Why do the mmcs not talk about when their respective families automatically call them gay?
Like you thought you were bi, why do you now just agree with being gay like there’s no other option.
Quotes similar to: I’m dating a man so I must be gay. What else should you call it?
WTF

At this point I‘m officially crushing hard on the mmcs.

I get that it’s supposed to be funny… but virgin shaming is a huge ick for me. I still continuing because someone with an awesome book taste really liked it and other than that I enjoyed the book so far.

This is my first dnf. I‘m proud of me 😇

Dnf ing this series after this book. Mostly. There are one or two books from authors I’ve enjoyed in the past. Maybe I’ll try them. But otherwise. Nope!
This is just not it for me. I’d rather reread some great books from last year.

Yesterday I picked up this book again after a while: More, please and thank you.
The chapters when Ryan told Lars that he had forgotten him? The franatic search from Lars? Arghhhhhh!
I normally dislike non transparent communication but in this case it was warranted and fit the storyline plus characters. Amazing writing; especially with the articles and posts inbetween!
