The book is fine I’m in a horrible mood trying to quit nicotine and reading something makes me feel less horrific. I will say thought the I wake up and relive the same day over and over trip is overdone at this point, but maybe that’s just me being in a horrible mood.

So close to one hundred pages. I feel like the more I read the more I like the book. I've never thought about the philosophical implications of tennis before and probably never will again, but it was nice this one time.

About to read this godforsaken book and then hopefully go to bed. On the subject of sleep, here is a quote from DFW that I have liked and understood (usually it is either one or the other so this is significant).

Today is a very important day. I don't even use Goodreads anymore, but this day is so important that I reset my password to log on and share it. After one and a half years, I have finally started Infinite Jest. After reading the first chapter multiple times and giving up, I am now at the 50 page mark and am fully committed to seeing it though. It truly feels like an infinite book but I will get it done mark my words.
