There was indeed a lot of details I missed when I listened to the audiobook. I'm starting to understand the characters' motives and personalities, what make them tick, now that I'm actually reading the text format.

Setting up the background and history of the planets and the main forces operating in their sector. Not that into the story yet.

Danza by Natsume Ono -- has a quirky, cartoonish art style that I really like. It's quite fitting for the quiet story of Danza, about a son who went to visit his father, after 10 years of not speaking with each other since his parents divorced, to help out with the grape picking for the winery his father had started with his deceased best friend.

It tells something about the level of my knowledge regarding the political history of the US and other related subjects when those certain chapters discuss some things associated with those topics and they just read like gibberish to me.

rich in imagery with vivid descriptions that feels like there are scenes playing in your head. i'm absolutely turning into a fan of this author.

it's taking too long to get to the main plot and, though i do enjoy the author's writing style and the character interactions, it's dragging too much.

definitely as ambitious as the foreword from the author stated!
