Ooooh. The minstrel show was unexpected. Yikes!

The story lines haven’t converged yet, but I like it. A nonfiction opening that is intentional and heavy.

Ok- a sick day just lying in bed and listening to the book. Weird, but a twisty plot that’s growing on me.

French accents, British accents. I don’t care much about where Ben is, but I like listening to the voices!

I’m running a book club at work! We are reading and discussing each week, then traveling to the Malta museum in March as an extension of the reading!

I started this book nearly two years ago and just never got into it. It’s been sitting in my “reading” file and driving me crazy. I started it audio now instead, and Listening to it is more tolerable.

Nora is ahead of me, but it’s fun that she’s reading so well on her own!

It was featured on NPR. It’s hard to follow the two realms in the audio version. I’m not sure if it would be different in print.

Today is my birthday, and I chose to listen to this book instead of Taylor Swift, so you know it’s good!

This is so good! Listening to the audio- five readers, 1 for each narrator, and all have a fabulous Australian/New Zealand accent. The story has a depth that makes me want to listen to it faster!

I don’t love it, but a student recommended it, so I’m trying to be THAT teacher!

It seems very predictable, so I’m hoping for a twist.
