The amount of times I’ve had to stop reading and stare at a wall during this last trilogy is increasing with every book. Book 16/16 and I am not ready for this to be over even though Hobb has torn me down and rebuilt me multiple times. I am not sure I will ever find characters to compare.

Reading a Blake book requires a certain degree of intellectual energy activation, and even when I am in the exponential growth phase of the reading curve I have to ask myself “do I enjoy being reminded how truly stupid and inadequate I am with words”? The answer is, yes I do. This is deliciously entertaining.
