i had a lot more hope for this book. i was super excited to read it, but the pace is just a tad...slow. i think it's partially because the nature of the content is more mundane, but i think that's the point: the author wants to emphasize his experience with a job that seems normalized, maybe to subvert it and talk about some super meta experiences? i'll try to stick it out, but it hurts my head

i know people say to take this with a grain of salt bc it’s just ONE person’a pov, but it’s appalling to even hear about some of the alleged disgusting things that goes on behind these doors.
