So far I know quite a lot about the early days of cinema, thanks to highschool, but it was cool to learn the root of the many words used in the industry, such as ‘motion picture,’ ‘flick’ and so on. I was hoping to gain a deeper understanding of cinema as a whole but sounds like this delves more into genre. still excited to read more though.

thank god for penguin books. picked this up for $15. i wanted to read it before i watched the film, and i honestly don’t think that wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t this cheap! i love you penguin classics, my collection is coming along decently at the moment!

pretty decent start to the novel. to be honest not what i was expecting, but it’s great. can’t wait to continue reading.

i’m in awe. i’m only 30 pages in and i’ve benefitted from so many lines. so much wisdom. and as a girl who is ambitious and craves victory this will be a staple in my library. this literal genius. i am taking this book everywhere.
