"The Order of the Sisters of St. Joseph had begun in 1650 with six like-minded women who simply wanted to serve the poor in their community... Some of the original six sisters had become martyrs for their beliefs--guillotined for their faith."
Those must have been some old nuns since the French Revolution started 149 years after they founded the Order.
