This is utter trash. I can tell it’s from the 2010s the misogyny and slut shaming is abundant but aside from that the writing is horrible. Clunky, basic, tacky exactly like a fanfiction it’s hilarious. Character descriptions with ‘blue orbs’ and ‘rugged jaws’

Urghh having mixed feelings on this one. I appreciate the prose and unique writing style, it’s very different. However the story is boring right now, I don’t appreciate the decision to tell the audience how it ends in the first chapter. I get it’s an out there provocative choice, but it’s just spoiled my curiosity & investment in finishing it. Plus it’s a gay book - we all knew it was gonna end in the death

Good, but it reads so terribly English. I can’t believe Baldwin is American.

All this horror stuff is catching up with me. I dreamt the other night that a demon came for me and I couldn’t find the kitchen salt to protect myself.

Fascinating. I love King’s writing so much

This is a major downgrade from the first book. There’s way too much going on and the actual romance is becoming very long winded. I don’t like the death of his dad storyline either, it feels like a bad imitation of Liz’s dead mum in the first book.
